Separate the intended use
Describe the owner routine and intended pet for each range. Dog and cat projects may share a brand identity while still requiring different formulation and sensory discussions.
Review the whole formula
Bring the complete ingredient direction, proposed specification and supplier information into each species brief. A product name or a shared health-goal position is not enough to define the formula.
Discuss taste and handling
Flavor, aroma, texture and the way the product is offered should be part of the project conversation. Define what the sample review is intended to assess for each species.
Make packaging unmistakable
Keep species, product identity and serving presentation clear in the retail hierarchy. Similar brand colors should not make the two products difficult to distinguish.
